He is a former Orange League Champion who won the event using his Gastly and Haunter, over 300 years ago. He used to sail a delivery ship, going from island to island and delivering things to other islands. One night 300 years ago, the ship was caught in a terrible storm and sunk.
Pokémon
The Captain's Gastly and Haunter first appeared on the ghost ship scaring Team Rocket, who had the Winner's Trophy, and taking it from them. They were then seen playing with Misty's Togepi, when Ash and his friends tried to take the trophy. Suddenly Team Rocket appeared and sent out Arbok and Victreebel, but they ended up fainting. Gastly and Haunter then created an illusion, showing them the story of their owner. The trophy on his bedside table is what Gastly and Haunter guarded until divers took it, and they made the ship return to the surface to recover it.
With the help of Ash and his friends, they send Team Rocket blasting off. In the end they telekinetically flew the ship to a place where nobody would try and steal the trophy again. Gastly's known moves are Lick and Night Shade. | ||
