Am I allowed to talk here?
Anyway, have you noticed how the edit count just seems to get bigger and bigger? Nice to see dedication. TESHTALKFUN 16:53, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

It would be worrying if it got smaller. :p --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:19, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Why is it listed with the other users? Shouldn't it be consistent with the other months and be listed seperately? ニョロトノ666 14:28, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Because it has now been beaten by a non-bot user. Glinn Mgraw 14:39, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
A winner is me. TTEchidna 16:22, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't understand

March, 1 Pie has made 10018 edits. April, 1 Pie has made 10013 edits. (MathijsP 07:12, 11 May 2008 (UTC))

Put simply, 5 of Pie's edits were deleted. You'll probably find a record of them if you search the deletion log. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 07:19, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Or are now part of a redirect. TTEchidna 08:28, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Why don't redirects count towards one's edit count? --ニョロトノ666 19:45, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Because redirect pages don't count as actual content pages or else we would have about 50,000 pages (or so the tally would say) if not more. They don't have any content on them, they go to the page with the content on them. MoldyOrange 19:50, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Edit request

I'm requesting an edit. Please make all the headers smaller. For example, an headers using one = sign should use two, and the ones that use two should use three. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 19:08, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Edit count

Are the amount of mainspace edits for a user counted from September 6 to October 2 or from the first of a month to the first of the next month. Jmath 08:45, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

It's the amount of mainspace edits you have at the time the data is generated - so on October 2nd in the most recent list. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:45, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Like I could make 20,000 contribs a month... TTEchidna 22:05, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Why is Pie on the November list? These numbers look awfully suspicious.... ht14 03:25, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm sure this was meant to see how many edits were done only on THAT day... ht14 03:26, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Pie is on the list because this is a count of cumulative edits, not monthly edits. You'll notice her count has actually gone down over time. I'd guess this is because some of her edits have been deleted. --Martonimos 05:12, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Since when was it ever supposed to be the edits made on one day? How can you look at the entire article and even come to that conclusion? It is the number of all the edits that have ever been made to the mainspace by each user. The date is just when each list was compiled. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 09:53, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Does the Jan 1st list count the ENTIRE YEAR? because Therguy hasnt edited since june....DCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits)) 15:28, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Dude, the comment right above yours. All edits ever made, which means the veterans get the upper hand... The Dark Fiddler - Nos hablamos? 15:30, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Perhaps an admin should write a introduction section explaining this at the top of the article. — THE TROM — 02:26, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

I just did some math, and figured out that this user made approximately 19.5 edits a day for the whole month of January 2010. They deserve some kind of reward! Uhhh.... Do they actually get anything? --AuraGaurdian 00:20, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Buzz made 74 edits a day on average in November. he didnt get an award. we dont give out awards for stuff like that other than the "500 edits in one day" which he (and myself) already has. -- MAGNEDETH 00:24, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Aesthetic Update?

Alright everybody. March 1st, and the next count update, is just around the corner. As I'm sure many of you have noticed, the current layout of this and the monthly list is a little problematic. It doesn't conform too equally on the multiple different screen resolutions. So, before March 1st, I would like to see a more uniform format be added.

Of course, this means that I want and need the opinions of our users. So, I urge as many users that happen to see this message before 00:00 (PST) on February 28th, to take a look at this page and offer up your opinions on its talk page. Thanks, everyone. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 18:25, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Edit counting

Is there a way to figure out how many edits an editor not on the top contributer list without counting them by hand? If so I would like to know my amount of edits just for numbers sake to see how I compare to the top editors. Thanks! --Pokemaster97 03:13, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

You have less than 1000. Good luck ever making it onto the list - back when I was going for the top spot, it had only as many edits as the bottom spot has now. TTEchidna 10:14, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

How could TTEchidna still be editing, and be a top contributor in the MAGNEDETH era? I thought MAGNEDETH blocked him forever! I think there's something wrong. サトシ (talk) 01:48, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

TTE's blocked forever? What did I miss? I knew he stood down as Editor-in-chief, but permanently blocked? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 01:49, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Please note that these are the Overall Top contributors. Some users have made so many edits, that they still appear at the top of the list even after they are long gone. Yes TTE, (along with some other former staff) have been blocked due to some events that happpened back in October. --Pokemaster97 01:53, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
