Awwww, You beat me to it!  I had that same idea...  I can't find it anywhere, though.  Has it been made?  If it hasn't I'd love to help make it.  Would it be a Sub-Project to CharacterDex, or would it be different, because it would have a different scope?  Also, in my head, I thought it would have the route (or routes) they appear on.  Please reply. Un..categorized?

So uh, I just went here to look for some projects I could work on and I just noticed there isn't a category. I was wondering to add one or not. Tina δ281 19:15, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh shoot. Well, I added it to Bulbapedia. TTEchidnaFire echy 07:23, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Sprites?

I came here looking to join up with whatever group was working on getting the collection of sprites complete, expecting there to be a project for it. But it seems there's not. Is there anyone actively working on completing the sprites, or shall I start up Project SpriteDex? -Pat 16:52, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I think Project Pokédex is covering that already, but I'm not sure. I'd help out in uploading them all but I don't want to really kill my computer with 386+ sprites.. Tina δ281 17:05, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Sweet, thanks! I'll join up with them. -Pat 03:35, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

TrainerDex

I was thinking of starting a R/B trainer dex project or adding it as a sub-project to some other project. It would involve listing every trainer, their pokémon, levels, and mew glitch features (can he/she start the glitch, what pokémon will he/she give) or just a complete info "dump" of the mew glitch every trainer and their mew glitch stats. please give me your comments, opinions, questions etc. I won't be able to start this project until sometime between the beginning of Summer to middle of Autumn. Fizzmaister 06:12, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

1. You know at the Very top there's that weird little + sign? (Between 'Edit this Page' and 'History') Yeah? Use that button to create a new section (Like you just did.

2. If we added that, who knows What'll happen

--Force Fire 06:18, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

What do you mean by #2?

--Fizzmaister 00:11, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Manga

Just noticed that there is no manga projects. Should I start one (atleast try to start one!)? :Misty-May-Dawn rulz 10:07, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I'm thinking that any manga project should be specialized toward one specific manga (i.e. Pokémon Adventures) or a specific block of similar mangas (i.e. Magical Pokémon Journey and Pokémon Chamo-Chamo ☆ Pretty ♪ together), given the numerous genuine Pokémon manga out there with a bit of diversity between them.
A broad "Project Manga" could serve some use anyway, however, as a parent project to specialized projects on different manga out there. --Shiningpikablu252 12:23, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
So I am trying to start one ok? :Misty-May-Dawn rulz 12:43, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes, definatly!! I think that the manga is what we need to work on the most here at Bulbapedia, just because we have so little about it. I would love to help, but I know nothing about it at all. If you can help me find it on the internet or something, I'll help you with the coverage of it here! MoldyOrange 02:26, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Relink

Could we make the relink project official please? It could speed up the server a lot, and barely anyone knows about it. Theininen 00:54, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Does it need to be official? I mean, many people participate in it whether you know it or not. There's no problem if it stays in the Userspace, but it is up to Martonimos if he wants to move it to a project status. I'm sure it would be allowed. MoldyOrange 01:06, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Ok, just wondering. Theininen 01:18, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Template Help

I was thinking about making a new Project, but I don't know how to make templates. Can someone tell me how or direct me to a page that shows me how? Thank you. シンジShinjiLover,Edits 22:58, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

I'd recommend finding a current project, copying their templates, and changing the colors, pictures and text. No other way as far as I am aware. — THE TROM — 23:02, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Ah, okay! How am I going to make it so that the picture will come up when someone types in {{Project <insert name> notice}}? Do you know? (Yes, I am quite n00bish. . >.> Sorry for bugging you.) シンジShinjiLover,Edits 23:04, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Mind telling us the title of said proposed project?--RexRacer -talk 23:05, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
You have to create the image and upload it at the BG Archives. Don't be sorry, I am happy to help. But ditto Rex. — THE TROM — 23:07, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Certainly! I was going to call it 'Project fansite'. Or something of the like. Do I just have to upload the image under the name {{Project fansite notice}}? I'm still a little confused on how that would work out. Oh, and thanks for the help guys! シンジShinjiLover,Edits 23:09, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Upload it under any name, put an extension on the end, and then put it on the template.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 23:10, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

I feel stupid asking this, but: Extension? You mean the .png or things like that? And how do you mean 'put it on the template'? シンジShinjiLover,Edits 23:11, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Yes, that's correct, though I'm not so sure about this one. Might want to run it by an admin first, see what they think. ----RexRacer -talk 23:13, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
(EC) OK. So the image at the archives needs an extension. But the notice is absolutely right, just put it in the template namespace. And to cover a wider scope, how about Project Fandom? That should be better with the higher ups too. — THE TROM — 23:14, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
(Edward Con)By "putting it on the template" I mean, well, if you look at the coding for the other project notices, you'll see a place where it says [[Image:imagename.extension]]. That's where you put the name of your pic. Replace "Imagename" with the image's name, and "extension" with the extension.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 23:15, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
If you want a template with the name of {{Project fansite notice}}, create in under the name of Template:Project fansite notice.--Clarky13 23:16, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
And please use a png image not a jpg or anything else. — THE TROM — 23:17, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I see what you guys are saying! Okay, thanks everyone. =] Also, I agree that my previous one was definitely too specific. I'll be sure to change it to 'Project fandom'. Would I still need to consult an admin? Once again, thanks everyone! シンジShinjiLover,Edits 23:18, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, you'd have to consult an admin.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 23:20, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

For permission for making the project. Jmath 23:21, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
"Anyone can start a new project".... but I've asked MAGNEDETH to come anyway. If it were me, I'd just do it. This is an area in which there is no project support. — THE TROM — 23:23, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Politoed666 is the leader of all projects. you must get permission from him to create a project. -- MAGNEDETH 23:23, 13 February 2009

Ahem...--Tavisource 23:32, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
What? Please don't intentionally confuse someone...----RexRacer -talk 23:33, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
seems like hes trying to insinuate hes the leader of all projects, which im pretty sure he isnt. -- MAGNEDETH 23:37, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
No...... I think he means that he and CP made Projects without Poli's greenlight. It doees say over the page that anyone can make one. — THE TROM — 23:40, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Ugh! I'm confused! I already asked Politoed and now someone is telling me I shouldn't have asked at all? @_@ シンジShinjiLover,Edits 23:44, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
well, there was a massive argument on the forums about projects and Poli took lead, so, id still ask him. especially given im not sure this project is necessary. -- MAGNEDETH 23:45, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Uhmmm, this project already exists: Bulbapedia:Project Pokésites. MaverickNate 23:56, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Would fandom, in general, still be okay? シンジShinjiLover,Edits 23:57, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

What would fandom cover?--Clarky13 23:59, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Sites, people, such. I moved the Pokésite thing to a fandom project. Go have fun. MaverickNate 00:02, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Question

Say some user doesn't go on for a LONG time and has already joined a project, will they be removed? ht14 06:42, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Nope. Like Tina, Theryguy512 and many other users, they all reserve the right to return at any point. — THE TROM — 06:45, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
I mean like users that only posted on userpage or just once in some random project page... ht14 06:46, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
I think it would be up to the Project Leader to determine. I know on Wikipedia, talkspam is sent out to everyone on the Project list, and then everyone is removed from said list. If they wish to rejoin the Project then they may do so. — THE TROM — 06:49, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
...found some users like that though... ht14 06:49, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Getting Started

I want to create a new Project for the Pokemon books but my wikicoding knowledge pool is a bit shallow and I have no idea as to how to start one. Anyone out there interested in this idea want to help me out? --いぬみみ 19:37, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Recurring chars project

I would like to create a project for recurring characters. Can someone help me set it up? --Galladeon 20:11, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

I see no need for this. These characters can be covered by Project COD, despite them not strictly being characters of the day. — THE TROM — 21:06, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
That sounds like Japanese songs being covered by an English song project to me. Maybe set them up as two subprojects of an anime characters project? --Galladeon 21:40, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
To follow your analogy, all music is covered by the same project. Therefore, all non-main characters can also be covered by the same project. — THE TROM — 21:49, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

This may sound stupid, but...

How do you start a new project? I really want make a project on Gym Leaders. But if I fail to understand can somone make one for me? Lunick v sonela 12:37, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Gym leaders falls under Project Characterdex. MaverickNate 12:45, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
So should I just join the Characterdex project, or should I make a child project? Lunick v sonela 13:03, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Join the characterdex project. Gym leaders is too specific, and there isn't really a need for a new project right now. MaverickNate 12:53, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I'll do that then. Lunick v sonela 13:03, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Project Books..?

Is there any need for a Project about books? I have noticed that this area of Bulbapedia is fairly shallow in detail. There is already a project for Toys, TV, and Music. That covers most Pokémon media, so why not have one on books? Anyway, if anyone has any ideas about this, or if one secretly exists, please tell me.--♫Green♫ギャラドス♫Talk♫ 18:30, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Nothing official. —darklordtrom 00:28, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Ah, it seems someone else had the idea first. Thanks, Trom :D.--♫Green♫ギャラドス♫Talk♫ 00:29, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Companies

What project would companies like Nintendo or Scholastic fall under? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 00:17, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Nintendo would be Fandom. Scholastic would be Merchandise.... kinda. —darklordtrom 08:25, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Idea for a project

How about project webcomic? Lunick v sonela 21:10, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

I'd say no because there are very few articles about webcomics. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 21:17, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
They are already covered by Project Fandom. —darklordtrom 21:20, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
*The following is said in a cool way* Is it, is it The dark lord trombonator? Sorry. I know it is I just wanted dramatic praise. Will could it be a child project? Turtwig A, the fact that there are few pages on webcomics is why I want to make one. Lunick v sonela 21:34, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Very cool. You can call me trom, if you want. I still don't think a subproject will be needed. Project Fandom aims to cover everything about the fandom. This includes fan-derivative publications such as webcomics. —darklordtrom 21:38, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
But calling you by your full name sounds cooler. So basicly, no. Lunick v sonela 21:48, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
It makes more sense to have it as part of the larger Project. It allows that Project to have a much wider scope and not be so contrived in nature. You'll find that a Project Webcomic will have a very limited information base. So, yeah, it's a no. —darklordtrom 22:13, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Will that be one of the main aims? Lunick v sonela 22:33, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Will what be one of what's main aims? —darklordtrom 22:37, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Webcomics. Lunick v sonela 22:39, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, webcomic articles will be one of Project Fandom's aims provided they are somewhat notable in the fanbase. —darklordtrom 22:43, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
But it's not on the to-do list. Lunick v sonela 22:48, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Because most webcomics aren't that notable. there aren't even that many MaverickNate 23:09, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

What does it mean?

Kinda dumb (but I'm stumped) what does Bulbapedia Meta mean? Spritemaster 03:24, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Not a stupid question at all. BPMEta would be Projects related to pages explaining the running and upkeep of Bulbapedia. Of which there are none. —darklordtrom 08:35, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
