== Confirming more languages/countries ==
OK guys, so far we have managed to confirm that the Pokémon anime is dubbed to at least 35 separated dubs (''not'' counting Japanese and English). The exact list of confirmed dubs can be found [[dub|here]], as well as [[template:vatable|here]] (they're supposed to be identical). Now, there are probably other dubs. Since I don't speak those languages (and most of the community probably doesn't), I figured I'll ask for help here. The following languages I need help confirming either way (of course there may be others, but these are the ones I actually think just might exist):
# {{wp|Chinese language|Chinese}}. I know there are at least two separated dubs, for Cantonese and Mandarin. But I heard there are more than 2 Chinese versions.
# {{wp|Bosnian language|Bosnian}}
# {{wp|Welsh language|Welsh}}
# {{wp|Persian language|Persian}}
# {{wp|Irish language|Irish}}
# {{wp|Galician language|Galician}}
# {{wp|Indonesian language|Indonesian}}
# {{wp|Lithuanian language|Lithuanian}}

Brazil

Hmm... maybe I could help making a page for Brazil. It is only the time to gather information and write it in a clear manner following the pattern on other's countries pages, isn't it? -- RikkiKitsune 02:22, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Talk to the project leader, electabuzzzz.--♫Green♫ギャラドス♫Talk♫ 02:32, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
That's mostly what rikkikitsune is doing. Every project leader watches their project talk page for every comment that happens. electabuzzzz will know MaverickNate 02:37, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Oh, well, even before the leader's answer, if anyone want to see, I've started something here. I'll improve it before in fact creating an article (obviously, if I get the permission for it). -- RikkiKitsune 03:32, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Absolutely. Articles that are on the list in the project's page are OK to create without prior approval, as long as they are good articles with actual content - no stubs allowed. I would suggest you take all the information from the Brazilian voice actors articles and add it to your example. When you're done, we'll move it to the mainspace. --electAbuzzzz 13:13, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Shouldn't Pokémon in the US be in this project? Turtwig A Contributions Talk 13:19, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
We have yet to decide whether English-speaking countries need their own articles or not. We're still... debating on that. --electAbuzzzz 16:26, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
That's why I made a subpage of mine's for doing it. It will take some time to make a good page about Pokémon in Brazil. When it's done, I'll ask to mainspace it. ^^ -- RikkiKitsune 21:00, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
What about Pokémon in Japan? Turtwig A Contributions Talk 12:35, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
We have yet to reach a decision on that. On one hand, there's a chance it could be a very interesting article about the franchise in its origin country, and on the other hand, all the information we list on the other countries articles is already covered in every article we have in regards to Japan (try to follow that sentence). Then there's also the fact that we don't really have any active Japanese users (that I know of) who could write such an article, since they all use the Japanese websites and have no reason to visit English-language sites like Bulbapedia. --electAbuzzzz 13:19, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Most of the information that could go into the article is already in the pages like Japan's release date for Red and Green is in the game infobox in that article. Turtwig A Contributions Talk 15:12, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon in North America

Why aren't Canada and the USA both listed as potential articles? I have ideas of why and responses, but I guess I'll see if there's a real reason preventing their creation first. Porygon-Z 19:25, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

To be honest, we simply haven't decided yet whether there's a point to creating articles for English-speaking countries or not. You'll notice that the UK, Oz, and NZ aren't listed either. The current articles are made mostly of VA info, while English dub VAs already HAVE articles. Every article we have already contains info about Japanese and English releases and stuff. I'm not saying I'm 100% against these articles, just that I'm not sure yet. I talked about this subject with several other users in the past and heard many contradicting opinions. --electAbuzzzz 19:30, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
I think there must be for at least the USA, which is where practically everything happens to the English franchise. I bet me and ZestyCactus could add in a fair bit of things for a Canada article, too. Anyway, my position on articles is simply that there should be one for every country we are knowledgable about. Porygon-Z 19:34, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh, plus we've got French stuff. Porygon-Z 19:36, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Right, Quebec. Alright, I suppose a Canada article might work, if it'll contain the Canadian French dub info. Start it in the userspace and then we'll see how it works, k? As for the US, I'm still not sure. The US info is on every single page. A US article would be very repetitive and kinda small. --electAbuzzzz 19:46, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Idea

What would you guys think of having each country's "Pokémon slogan" in the infobox? (like, their translation of "Gotta catch 'em all" basically) So, like, "Attrape-les tous!" for French Canada and "¡Atrápalos ya!" for Latin America, etc? ZestyCactus 18:20, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

I agree. And their website, too. Porygon-Z 18:25, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Slogan would work great. I'll find a way to include it later. Website? Not every country has an official Pokémon website. Actually, most don't. --electAbuzzzz 18:28, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I figured that most did. Look at http://www.pokemon.fr, so out of date LOL! Porygon-Z 18:54, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Possibly only countries that translate the games...? --electAbuzzzz 19:34, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon In China

I was thinking of doing the article but there is so many different logo's for the franchise over there. If the article is created, should we use the logos from the anime, games, or use the international logo?--Midnight Blue 23:00, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

You mean China, right? CuboneKing 23:01, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Yea, that was a typo, but also, in China, Pokémon was banned right or just the games?--Midnight Blue 23:02, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Upload all logos, and show me. We'll use one in the infobox and the others in the body. There are several seperated Chinese dubs of the anime (I know of at least two, but possibly more), so the article will have to include all of them. Start it in your userspace - not the mainspace. Show it to me, and we'll mainspace it when it'll be ready. --electAbuzzzz 23:10, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Alright, well the first thing is to find logos that are by themselves and get more information so it's not a stub.--Midnight Blue 23:13, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Given the size of the People's Republic of China and the fact that different areas may treat the franchise differently (such as between Beijing and Hong Kong, for example), a lot of careful analysis may be needed to create a viable China article.
Careful handling should also be taken to not get Bulbapedia blocked in China because of this project; if China does get ticked at us, that could hinder any possibility of one day having a Chinese affiliate in Encyclopaediae Pokémonis. For example, if what's-that-region has its own handling, that region should be referred to in the legal PRC sense and avoid implicating some exiled guy's views in a way that could get China mad at us. And we don't really know how we should handle that island in the south calling itself the Republic of China should that island warrant an article, because there's plenty of ways to get the mainland mad at us there...--Shiningpikablu252 23:31, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
