I also found another site that is becoming more popular in the pokemon online gaming community, it has a special and unique class called the galaxy Pokémon(gorgeous Pokémon that glows and some have galaxy patterns on them, here's an example http://pkmngalaxy.net/require/pokemon/239p.png) but I don't know how to introduce it to bulbapedia.

Back when pokemon first came out in the states, something...bizarre happened on AOL: Battlers, for lack of a better term. These were user-made program ("progz." I dont miss the 90s.) that would use chat inputs to generate text-based battles between players. These were as strange as it sounds like, but even moreso because they were ridiculous.
I recall three of them, all of which functioned in the same manner: probably the most advanced was "Pokemon Lightning," whos creator I cannot recall. The most widely used and praised, was one whos name I cant recall, but whos creator went by the named "Coolkid" or some corruption of it. This one had the interesting trait that all the pokemon were essentially equal...Except the ridiculous powerful, game-breaking Pikachu. There was a third battler as well, but i cant even remember what it looked like, just that it didnt work.
While these may not be especially notable now, they were at the time. And the concept is bizarre to the point that I think it should be here...

== Website notability requirements ==
Hi everyone, is there a clear set of requirements for notability with regards to websites? An article I created, {{redlink|Pokemon Database}} was recently deleted for being non-notable, but it is one of the most popular fan sites in the world today. Several other fan site pages exist that don't seem remotely notable. Some seem to be called notable for being the biggest Pokemon fan site in France in 2003 (of course, an unverified claim). Can we have some basic guidelines? [[User:DisgruntledGoat|DisgruntledGoat]] 15:45, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Errrm... well, where can we go with this? It definitely shouldn't include nonnotable sites, like some geocities site that got established yesterday, but certainly well-known and popular ones like Pokémon Zeo! and Serebii.net... and for sure Bulbagarden and other members of EP. TTEchidna 19:10, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

I think we've got enough 'notable' fansites to make a project, but even then it seems a little weird for an idea... I dunno why, it just does. (After all, after making this project I think we'd see a lot of 'LOL HERE'S A SITE ____ MADE JUST YESTERDAY AND WE WANT VISITORS'.. we're a Wiki, not the classified section. (Someone, I know, someone'll bring up the link in my siganture. Shhhhh.) 281Tinaδ281 19:13, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Pf, here's a difference between you advertising your site on talk pages in your signature with a single character and making an entire page about a three-day-old site. The problem is... where do we draw that line? I mean, I personally know of Legendary Pokémon, PA!, Zeo, Sugarshock, TR's Rockin, Psypoke, Serebii, Veekun, Smogon, Pokecharms, Marriland... and of course Bulbagarden. What other sites are there, anyway? TTEchidna 19:26, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Pokemopolis, Pokémon Crater, Pokesho, Dogasu's Backpack, PokeBeach, PPN. And is PA! Pokeani or something else? --FabuVinny T-C-S 19:32, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
How about.... Pokegym, Pokemon, Go-Pokemon, and Pokemon-Games. --Groudon465Talk 19:38, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
The official sites pass the notability test, if not technically fitting the definition of "fan sites". --FabuVinny T-C-S 19:50, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
PA!'s Pokémon Aaah!... you know, that old site. TTEchidna 20:44, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Never heard of it before. But then, it looks like it was closed before I ventured out beyond Pokémon Crater. --FabuVinny T-C-S 14:26, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
I found a site called Pokémon World Online and it is a MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) if has been heard of before maybe it could get added. -MasterKenobi 20:09, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

That's not a site, that's one page on a non-Pokemon site.

Something inexplicably absent!

Back when pokemon first came out in the states, something...bizarre happened on AOL: Battlers, for lack of a better term. These were user-made program ("progz." There was a third battler as well, but i cant even remember what it looked like, just that it didnt work.

While these may not be especially notable now, they were at the time. And the concept is bizarre to the point that I think it should be here...

Website notability requirements

Hi everyone, is there a clear set of requirements for notability with regards to websites? An article I created, Pokemon Database was recently deleted for being non-notable, but it is one of the most popular fan sites in the world today. Several other fan site pages exist that don't seem remotely notable. Some seem to be called notable for being the biggest Pokemon fan site in France in 2003 (of course, an unverified claim). Can we have some basic guidelines? DisgruntledGoat 15:45, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

I'll add to this what I mentioned on my talk page. For some evidence of popularity check rankings on alexa.com i.e. [2]. Compare to other popular sites on the graph, here's an example with some other well-known fansites. Even if you take their numbers with a pinch of salt, Pokemon Database is clearly amongst those sites. DisgruntledGoat 00:24, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
