Categories for growth time?

I think it'd be handy if there were separate categories for the berries with different growth times, like "Berries that mature in 12 hours", "Berries that mature in 24 hours" and so on. That way, say someone's got one Nomel berry, but is by a three-tree soil spot, could look up other berries with similar maturation times and plant those next to it. Template?

I just came up with this, and I'd like to see what you all think:

Project BerryDex logo.png This Pokémon article is part of Project BerryDex, a Bulbapedia project that aims to write comprehensive articles on each Berry in the Pokémon series.

(berry name here) is a type of berry found in (Generation II OR Generation III and Generation VI OR Generation VI)

Locations

  • (location here)
  • (location here)
  • (location here)
  • (location here)

Growth and Harvest

A (berry name here) takes (correct number here) hours to grow and develop into a tree. Each stage of the tree takes (correct number here) hours. When completed, a (berry name here, without the "Berry" suffix) tree yields (correct number here) to (correct number here) berries.

Berry Blending

On average, when blended, (plural version of berry name here) produce:

  • A Level (correct number here) (correct color here) Pokéblock at a two and three person blender.
  • A Level (correct number here) (correct color here) Pokéblock at a four person blender.

(If they yield different results, the two and three blender line can split into two seperate lines)

Berry Crushing

When crushed, Rawst Berries produce (correct number here) powder.

Berry growth

(Time limit) until (berry) blooms. or (Time Limit) until (berry) is ripe to pick.

Generation IV upgrade?

Could the template for berries be upgraded to include information about differences in Generation IV games (Diamond and Pearl), like what Poffin(s) come from each berry, differences in growing time and etc.? For example:

Growth and Harvest

Generation III

A (berry name here) takes (correct number here) hours to grow and develop into a fruit-bearing tree. Each stage of the tree takes (correct number here) hours. When completed, a (berry name here, without the "Berry" suffix) tree yields (correct number here) to (correct number here) berries.

Generation IV

A (berry name here) takes (correct number here) hours to grow and develop into a fruit-bearing tree. Each stage of the tree takes (correct number here) hours. When completed, a (berry name here, without the "Berry" suffix) tree yields (correct number here) to (correct number here) berries.

Any comments would be appreciated. Berrymaster 17:03, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

I definitely agree, but I don't have the information. TTEchidna 02:01, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
So should I use that format for the berries, then? File:Ani413MS.gifAgggron (Talk | Edits)File:Ani412MS.gif

Add

Someone should add to the articles how long the berries stay on the tree before dropping off and re-growing. --Shiny Noctowl 23:04, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Gen II Berries?

The aim of this project is apparently to "write comprehensive articles on each berry", so why not the Gen 2 berries? Eric the espeon 17:58, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't think there would be enough information to write comprehensive articles on the Gen II berries. Cyan Ryan(talk) 23:54, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Poffin cooking?

there should be a page that lists the meximum level poffin/pokéblock for each berry, id do it but i dont have the information

Locations template

The dot-pointed list... no. It's been bugging me for a while, could someone please make some sort of template to place the game locations in? Anyone good at coding?? Takharii ~ Talk! 05:44, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

I'll take a STAB at it. Any specific requests/ideas right off the bat? Werdnae (talk) 05:55, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Possibly something similar to the locations template on Pokémon pages. That might be too much, but at least they have the same purpose. And it'll kepp thw wiki tidy. Takharii ~ Talk! 06:01, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I've got a quick little template built. It'll need quite a few changes before it's ready to be used, but it'll give an idea of what it will look like. The colours are stolen borrowed from the berry infoboxes, so they won't look out of place on the pages. I'll need to do some research on the berry pages before I do any more though. Werdnae (talk) 07:26, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Aaaand it's pretty much done. All that needs to be done is the removal of the defaults, and the once it's moved, categorisation. Although I'm wondering whether it should be using These Three colours, which are the colourscheme for the berry pocket of the bag, rather than the ones I've taken from the berry infobox. Werdnae (talk) 05:03, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, the berry colours look alright *tests in sandbox* Takharii ~ Talk! 08:16, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

BerryPrevNext

Can we put this template at the top of the berry pages as well, just like the Pokemon Pages? --Landfish7 18:35, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Hello? --Landfish7 23:06, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Because, I think it'd be easier instead of scrolling to the top. Isn't that why this was done for the Pokémon pages? Or are the berry pages too short for that? --Landfish7 01:38, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
I think the berry pages used to be too short. They're a bit longer now, so personally I'd say go ahead. Werdnae (talk) 02:44, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Berry Origin?

It seems that some berries are based on real-life fruits.

Is it true? Or is it just plain opinion?

--This is Harv13 11:38, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

It is true. Their names and appearances are closely related to real-life fruit. Their origins are posted in their infoboxes on their individual pages. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 11:41, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
