Project Merchandise (formerly Project Toy Collection) is a project to better organize efforts to write and improve articles about all kinds of Pokémon merchandise. This includes (but is not limited to) toys, novelty goods, and books. If you would like to help, please add your name to the list below.

We have one to-do list, which outlines books. You can also go to the talk page to see the latest discussions regarding this project and its articles.

Project Merchandise

Scope and aims

Project Merchandise covers all articles about Pokémon merchandise.

Its ambitious aim is to create articles on all toys, plush dolls, and collectible merchandise produced for the Pokémon franchise, as well as covering all tie-in books and anime novelizations that have been published. Any and all information which can be found and provided will prove invaluable to collectors, including images, time and areas of release, rarity and value. If you know of an item that does not have an article, please add it to one of our to-do lists or inquire here.

Structure

Each book should have its own article, and have a plot summary, character list, and other relevant facts.

Many other items fall within the scope of a list-style article. For all of our list-style articles, please visit here. If the item in which you would like to make an article for does not belong on any existing list, you can make an article for it. Any information you can obtain about the item should be included within the article. If you have any questions, please inquire on our talk page. There are many different merchandise items, making it highly difficult to outline a format that will be suitable for every article within the project.

Goals

  1. Identify and catalog as many pieces of merchandise as possible.
  2. Identify manufacturers of each item in the project.
  3. Identify the time of release of all items in the project.
  4. Identify countries which each item was released in, particularly exclusive toys.
  5. Provide at least one picture of each toy in each set.
  6. Make complete articles on each book in the Pokémon franchise which include a picture of the book's cover and a complete synopsis of the book.
