The Golden Bulbasaur Award was an award given away once quarterly by the Editorial Board to a user which they determined to be a model user of Bulbapedia.

Golden Bulbasaur Awards were not given only to the user who had made the most contributions; Editorial Board members awarded these based on several attributes, including, but not limited to:

  • Knowledge of Pokémon information
  • Cleanliness of edits
  • Ability to improve Bulbapedia's poorest pages.

Types of award

There are several different sub-awards to the Golden Bulbasaur, for different categories of service:

  • Golden Bulbasaur Award - Best overall service to Bulbapedia.
    • Silver Bulbasaur Award - Second best overall service.
    • Bronze Bulbasaur Award - Third best overall service.
    • Crystal Bulbasaur Award - Best overall service for an entire year.
  • Golden Pikachu Award - Best service to Bulbapedia in regards to articles based on the Pokémon anime.
  • Golden Charizard Award - Best service to Bulbapedia in regards to articles based on the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
  • Golden Mew Award - Best service to Bulbapedia in regards to articles based on the Pokémon games.
