Bonemerang (Japanese: ホネブーメラン Bone Boomerang) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 multi-hit move introduced in Generation I. It is one of the signature moves of the Cubone evolutionary line.

Effect

Generation I

Bonemerang inflicts damage, striking twice per use. Although only the first hit can technically cause a critical hit, each hit per use will do the same amount of damage.

Bonemerang will end immediately if it breaks a Substitute. Bide and Counter will only acknowledge the last hit of this move.

Generations II, III and IV

Same as before, except it will continue attacking after a Substitute is broken.

Generation V

Unlike previous generations, if Focus Sash, Focus Band, or Sturdy activate before the last hit is dealt, the following hit will cause the defending Pokémon to faint. Each hit will also cause Weak Armor to activate.
