With the release of each series in the Pokémon Trading Card Game comes a plethora of collectible merchandise, and the Black & White Series is no exception. In order to release special promotional cards, booster packs, and other merchandise, promotional items such as Collector's Tins and Value Boxes are distributed. The following is a list of the merchandise released during the BW era of the trading card game.

Sneak-Peek Tins

To start off the Black & White Series for the English trading card game is the release of the Sneak-Peek Tins. Released on March 9th, 2011, these tins introduce the first Generation V Pokémon to the TCG. Each tin features one of the three starters--Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott--in the form of both a promotional card and a figure, as well as a preview pack of five other Generation V Pokémon. The three cards featured in the tin feature new artwork than when released in Japan in the Journey Partners collection. Each tin also contains four booster packs from the Platinum Series, HeartGold & SoulSilver Series, and Call of Legends.

Black & White Theme Decks

Theme Decks are an integral part of the trading card game, being released with just about every one of the main expansions. Furthering the release of the Generation V Pokémon, the three theme decks for the Black & White expansion feature the final evolutions for Unova's starter Pokémon: Serperior, Emboar, and Samurott. The Green Tornado, Red Frenzy, and Blue Assault theme decks were released on April 6th, 2011: roughly three weeks before the main expansion. These three theme decks each contain a code for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, allowing players to use these theme decks while battling in the game.

Black & White Blisters

The release of Black & White brought the addition of both three pack blisters and two pack blisters. Released April 25th, 2011, the three pack blisters came in three varieties: each one featuring one of the three Unova starters as a promotional card, three Black & White booster packs, a Black & White preview pack containing three Common cards from the set, and a coin featuring the starters. The two pack blisters contain one Black & White booster pack, one preview pack, and one of four promotional cards. The three starter Pokémon were the same as those in the three pack blisters, but the Ducklett promotional card could only be found in two pack blisters.

Emerging Powers Theme Decks

As with almost every expansion, the Emerging Powers expansion features two theme decks, which are named Toxic Tricks and Power Play. These two theme decks feature the Pokémon Scolipede and Krookodile, respectively, whose cards were, at the time, English exclusive. Much like with Black & White, the theme decks were released earlier than the main expansion: being released on August 17th, 2011. These theme decks each contain a code for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, allowing players to use these theme decks while battling in the game.

Next Destinies Theme Decks

The Next Destinies expansion brought with it two Theme Decks: Explosive Edge and Voltage Vortex. They featured the two main legendary Pokémon of Unova, Reshiram and Zekrom, respectively. Unlike the first three expansions of the Black & White Series, these Theme Decks were released the day of the set, instead of weeks prior. In addition, their featured cards, Reshiram and Zekrom, used the Pinstripe Holofoil, instead of the Cracked Ice Holofoil typically used in Theme Decks. Each included a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code that allows the deck to be unlocked online.

Next Destinies Blisters

Released together with the Next Destinies expansion, various blister packs hit store shelves on February 8th, 2012. In an unprecedented move by The Pokémon Company International, the blister packs for North America began to include different assortments of products compared to the international blisters. The familiar three pack blisters, released internationally, came in two varieties: one with an exclusive holofoil Riolu promotional card, and one with an exclusive holofoil Luxio promotional card. These blisters included three Next Destinies booster packs, and a coin featuring Munna.

The North American blister packs, on the other hand, came in four varieties: two different two pack blisters containing either one of two Stage 2 evolutionary families, and two single pack blisters containing either one of two Stage 1 evolutionary families. The Stage 2 blisters contained either the Klinklang family or the Gigalith family, all Cracked Ice Holofoil. The Stage 1 blisters contained either the Zoroark family or the Beartic family, with the final stage as a Cracked Ice Holofoil, and also contained a Next Destinies 3-card sampling pack and a code card to unlock either family in the online game.

EX Tins

Shortly after the release of the Next Destinies expansion, on March 21st, 2012, the EX Tins were released. These tins featured three of the newest Pokémon-EX: Reshiram-EX, Kyurem-EX, and Zekrom-EX. Included in the tins were one Emerging Powers booster pack, one Noble Victories booster pack, two Next Destinies booster packs, and an online code card to unlock the promotional card online. For the first time in several Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the tin promos neither were exclusive cards, nor given alternate artwork. They were exactly the same as their in set prints, with the exception of their set number.

Dark Explorers Theme Decks

Much like many other expansions, Dark Explorers brought with it two more Theme Decks: Raiders and Shadows, on May 9th, 2012. Raiders features the Coffin Pokémon, Cofagrigus, while Shadows features the Illusion Fox Pokémon, Zoroark. Their featured cards, Cofagrigus and Zoroark, return to the Cracked Ice Holofoil, after the Next Destinies Theme Decks featured the Tinsel Holofoil. Each Theme Deck included a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code that allows the deck to be unlocked online.

Dark Explorers Blisters

Accompanying the Dark Explorers expansion on May 9th, 2012, various blister packs were released in stores to promote the expansion. Continuing the pattern set by Next Destinies, the blister packs for North America include different assortments of products compared to the international blisters. The international three pack blisters came in two varieties: one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Luxray promotional card, and one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Krookodile promotional card. These blisters included three Dark Explorers booster packs, and a coin featuring Zekrom and Reshiram first released in the Next Destinies Theme Decks.

The North American blister packs came in four varieties: two different two pack blisters containing either one of two Stage 2 evolutionary families, and two single pack blisters containing either one of two Stage 1 evolutionary families. The Stage 2 blisters contained either the Luxray family or the Krookodile family, all Cracked Ice Holofoil. The Stage 1 blisters contained either the Persian family or the Lucario family, with the final stage as a Cosmos Holofoil, and also contained a Dark Explorers 3-card sampling pack. These blisters contain the promotional cards—Luxio and Riolu—that previously weren't released in North America in the international Next Destinies Blisters; however, the two promos are not given the Cosmos Holofoil treatment, making both releases contain exclusive cards.

Kyurem Box

To finish off the Tao trio's collection of promotional boxes, the Kyurem Box was made available starting June 2012. Similar to the Template:Merch and Template:Merch released in October 2011, the Kyurem Box included four booster packs, a Kyurem figure, a new promotional reprint of the Kyurem card from Noble Victories, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online that unlocks the exclusive promotional card. Unlike the Reshiram and Zekrom Boxes, however, the booster packs included in this box were one Black & White booster pack, two Emerging Powers booster packs, and one Next Destinies booster pack.

Each box contains a Cracked Ice Holofoil reprint of either Servine, Pignite, or Dewott, and one of the three Template:Merch. Dragons Exalted Theme Decks

The Dragons Exalted expansion features two theme decks, which are named DragonSnarl and DragonSpeed, that were released August 15th, 2012. These two theme decks feature the Dragon-type, and contain the Brutal Pokémon Hydreigon and the Mach Pokémon Garchomp, respectively, as exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoils. Each Theme Deck includes a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code that allows the deck to be unlocked online.

Early product images featured the incorrect card in the image. As there are two different Hydreigon and Garchomp featured in the Dragons Exalted expansion, the early images featured the alternate Hydreigon and Garchomp cards, instead of the ones actually present in the deck.

Dragons Exalted Blisters

Released with the Dragons Exalted expansion on August 15th, 2012, six different blister packs appeared in stores. Much like the Next Destinies and Dark Explorers expansions, the international Blister Packs contained an alternate product line up compared to the ones released in North America. The international three pack blisters came in two varieties: one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Chandelure promotional card and one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Scolipede card.

The North American blister packs, on the other hand, came in four varieties: two different two pack blisters containing either one of two Stage 2 evolutionary families, and two single pack blisters containing either one of two Stage 1 evolutionary families. The Stage 2 blisters contained either the Chandelure evolutionary line or the Scolipede evolutionary line (with the same promotional Chandelure and Scolipede as the international blister packs), with a currently unknown Holofoil. The Stage 1 blisters contained either the Excadrill family or the Lilligant family, with the final stage as an exclusive Holofoil. The Stage 2 blisters contained two Dragons Exalted booster packs and a coin, while the Stage 1 blisters contained one Dragons Exalted booster pack and one Dragons Exalted sampling pack containing three common cards.

Shortly after the release of the Dragons Exalted expansion, during the month of September 2012, the Legendary EX Tins were released. Included in the tins were four Black & White Series booster packs, and an online code card to unlock the promotional card online.

Keldeo Box

During the month of October 2012, a promotional box named the Keldeo Box was released. This product featured the newly released Colt Pokémon, Keldeo, as both a new promotional card, Jumbo card, and figure of Keldeo's Resolution Forme. The Keldeo Box included these three promotional items, as well as three booster packs from the Black & White Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and an online code card for the online game.

There is currently some inconsistency between which Keldeo cards will actually be released in the product. The prerelease image contains a Jumbo image of Keldeo-EX and a regular sized Keldeo, but also states the two cards will be the same. As Keldeo-EX won't be released in English until November, it is expected that the two cards will be the promotional Keldeo.
