==Biology==
Bibarel is a bulky, bipedal Pokémon similar to a beaver. Brown fur covers most of this Pokémon with a tan circle on its chest. Its face is covered by a tan mask with a rounded extension over each eye; the male will have an additional extension to the side of each eye. While its forepaws are small and slightly webbed, its hind paws are larger and more rounded. Both sets of paws are black with three toes, but the hind paws have circular, tan paw pads. Bibarel's large, flat tail is black with a tan, wavy marking near the tip. Rounded tufts of fur line each side of its face. Its short, dark brown snout has a small red nose and protruding upper incisors. These teeth are used for chewing trees. This Pokémon is known to be an industrious worker that dams rivers by building its nest. However, a river dammed by Bibarel will never overflow. It is slow moving and awkward out of water, but a swift swimmer.

This Pokémon is known to be an industrious worker. It builds its nest by damming rivers, using bark, roots, and branches it has cut up with its teeth, along with mud. A river dammed by Bibarel will never overflow. Bibarel is slow-moving and awkward out of the water, but is a swift swimmer, comparable to a {{p|Feebas}}. Bibarel's fur is very good at repelling water and retaining heat.

===Evolution===
Bibarel evolves from {{p|Bidoof}}.

In ''[[DP066|Lost Leader Strategy!]]'', [[Reggie]] used a female Bibarel during his {{pkmn|battle}} against {{Ash}}. She battled {{AP|Turtwig}}, but was eventually defeated, despite subjecting him to her {{m|Secret Power}}.

Bibarel (Japanese: ビーダル Beadaru) is a dual-type Normal/Water Pokémon introduced in Generation IV.

It evolves from Bidoof starting at level 15.

Biology

Bibarel is a bulky, bipedal Pokémon similar to a beaver. Brown fur covers most of this Pokémon, with a tan bib-like pattern on its chest.

This Pokémon is known to be an industrious worker. It builds its nest by damming rivers, using bark, roots, and branches it has cut up with its teeth, along with mud. A river dammed by Bibarel will never overflow. Bibarel is slow-moving and awkward out of the water, but is a swift swimmer, comparable to a Feebas. Bibarel's fur is very good at repelling water and retaining heat.

Evolution

Bibarel evolves from Bidoof.

(For specifics on this Pokémon's evolution in the games, refer to Game data→Evolution data.)

Major appearances

In PK18, multiple Bibarel and Bidoof needed assistance in moving some logs so the water of a river can flow through. They worked together with Pikachu and Meowth's groups to accomplish this.

In Bibarel Gnaws Best!, the expert stonecutter owns a Bibarel, which was being taken care of and trained by Isis for the majority of the episode. She encountered problems when Bibarel refused to help build a bridge. Unbeknownst to her, this was because Bibarel knew the bridge was structurally unstable.

In Lost Leader Strategy!, Reggie used a female Bibarel during his battle against Ash. She battled Turtwig, but was eventually defeated, despite subjecting him to her Secret Power.

Minor appearances

Multiple Bibarel debuted in Following A Maiden's Voyage!.

In The Rise of Darkrai, Darkrai hit a Bibarel with Dark Void.

Multiple Bibarel appeared in Giratina and the Sky Warrior.

A Trainer's Bibarel appeared in a flashback in Flint Sparks the Fire!.

A Bibarel appeared in Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!.

A Bibarel appeared in A PokéVision of Things to Come!.

A Bibarel appeared in A Battle by Any Other Name!.

A Bibarel appeared in The Cave of Trials!.

A Trainer's Bibarel appeared in An Oasis of Hope!.

In Pikachu and the Pokémon Music Squad, a Bibarel was living in the forest.

A Trainer's Bibarel appeared in A Giga Battle with Mega Results!.

A Trainer's Bibarel appeared in Unlocking Some Respect!.

In The Sinnoh Iceberg Race!, a Trainer's Bibarel competed in the Pokémon Iceberg Race.

In A Little Rocket R & R!, two Trainers' Bibarel were captured by the Matori Matrix, but were later freed by Ash and his friends.

A Bibarel appeared in HZ031. It reappeared in HZ032.
