Pokémon world locations

Battle Park (Japanese: バトルパーク Battle Park) is a location in Sinnoh. It is the home to the Battle Tower, as well as the Exchange Service Corner where players can trade in their earned Battle Points for TMs, held items, and many other things. In Pokémon Platinum it was replaced by the Battle Frontier.

Geography

The Battle Park is just a straight path with different trainers preparing for their battle at the Battle Tower, which can be found at the northern end of the Battle Park. There is also an Exchange Service Corner located in the middle of the park.

Exchange Service Corner

Lucas between the two sides of the Exchange Service Corner building.

The Exchange Service Corner is a unique building having two sides, which are connected with a bridge, part of the inside, which a player can walk underneath. This makes the inside appear as a "C" shape, with the area under the bridge appearing as a void. The building serves as a place to exchange BP (Battle Points) earned at the Battle Tower for "fabulous prizes"! The counter on the right side sells a large number of TMs, while the counter on the left sells many special battle items, many of which can only be found here. In between the two counters is a PC.

The Battle Tower is located in the northern side of the park. Trainers all over the northeastern island speak of the Battle Tower, hailing it as the the ultimate test for serious trainers. It is home to several different challenges. Palmer, Barry's father, is the Tower Tycoon here. The first of these challenges is the standard single battle in which the challenger must engage in seven three on three battles in a row. Winning a set of seven battles earns the player Battle Points. The second of these challenges follows the same layout as the standard single battle but are rather conducted as double battles.

Trivia

The Battle Park in Platinum. Notice the lack of shadow and the updated environment.
  • In Platinum, the Battle Park appears as a leftover map with updated graphics, including those of the Battle Tower, as well as an enhanced system for exchanging Battle Points. This indicates that the Battle Frontier was conceived some time after development of Platinum began.
  • All buildings in Battle Park use unique textures not found elsewhere in Sinnoh.
