Barlow (Japanese: バロウ Barrow) is the muscle-bound leader of the Vientown ranger base and a graduate of the Ranger School. He is notably the first black Pokémon character with a prominent role. His partner is a Makuhita. Although he looks tough, he'd prefer Big Bertha to carry most heavy objects. He also might be afraid of water, as he prefers not to go with the main character on the Puel Sea mission.
