Meloetta and the Undersea Temple! (Japanese: メロエッタと海底の神殿！ Meloetta and the Undersea Temple!) is the 96th episode of the Best Wishes series, and the 753rd episode of the Pokémon anime. It aired in Japan on September 27, 2012, in the UK on December 31, 2012 and in the United States on January 19, 2013.

Giovanni arrives at the Team Rocket's aircraft where Jessie, James, Meowth and Dr. Zager are in it, where his plan finally starts here...
Meanwhile, at Cynthia's vila, Ash and Cilan had sparring training, with Ash's Oshawott battling with Cilan's Pansage. Cilan commands Pansage to use Bullet Seed, but Ash ordered Oshawott to use Razor Shield. Meloetta prasies their battle. Oshawott tells Meloetta that he wants to battle with her, to which Meloetta agress. Meloetta transforms into Pirouette Forme to use for the battle. However, Oshawott becomes embarrased to battle Meloetta in her form so Ash decides to use another Pokemon. Ash sends Krookodile and the two start their battle. Meloetta uses Hyper Voice which causes much more louder, but Krookodile survives. Ash order him to use Stone Edge, but Meloetta manage to take all stone with her fighting style. Inside the Cynthia's vila, Jervis pick up the phone from Cynthia where she's explains that tournament starts here. Ash's order him to use Dragon Clow. However, before he to take Meloetta down, a Flash Cannon comes out and that is used by Golurk! A mysterious man comes side left to the Cynthia's vila and fins Meloetta and the two embrace themselves. Incorrectly things the Ash and his group are villans, a man order his Glourk to fire his Flashy Cannon at them. However, Meloetta manages to calm them and explans that they are not villans.
A man introduces himself as Ridley. Ridley explains that he and Meloetta lived in their new home, it was until Team Rocket came in and steals Meloetta. He tries to stop them, but Team Rocket barely escape from Dr. Zager's helicopter. He explain that Team Rocket are searchin for Meloetta using for revive Abyssal Ruins.
Their conversation is short lived as Team Rocket arrives at Cynthia's vila and sends a dark fog. Ridley and Meloetta tries to make their getaway, but they we're knocked by Golem used by Team Rocket grunt along another Pokemon Rhydon. One of the Team Rocket grunt uses Rhydon Megahorn but Ridley shield Rhydon with by ordering his Golruk using Heavy Slam. Another Team Rocket grunt uses Golem Rock Blast. Ridley informs Ash and friends to escape while he battle them. Ridley order Goluk to use Body Slam again to take Rhydon. Another Team Rocket grunt uses order Golem to use Steamroller to attack him. Ash and friends countiune to running away from Team Rocket, but we're once again confronted by Jessie, James and Meowth, who order Jessie's Yamase to use Will-O-Wisp to trap them. Meloetta tries to escape by using invisibility, but James, using his glasses visible device, order Yamask to use Shadow Ball to turn him Visibly. Ash and Pikachu run away while Cilan and Iris stays behind to battle. Pikachu stopts sensing an another Pokemon, a Pokemon turns out to be Giovanni's Persian, to which Ash's scans. Giovanni appears as well, having came here to search for Meloetta for purpose. He order Person to use Shadow Claw, but Ash ordered Pikachu to Iron Tail to take him down. Giovanni, upon seeing Meloetta invisible with his visibly device, order Giovanni to use Power Gem to take Ash and Pikachu town and causing Meloetta to becomes visibly. A Helicopter traps Ash and Pikachu. Giovanni informs Meloetta to join wit her or else the two of them will be still in trap. With no other options, Meloetta was forced to do and was captued, including Ash and Pikachu! The group heads to the Abyssal Ruins where the final plan starts here.
Meanwhile the group, upon learing that their captured, heads to the Abyssal Ruins to stop as they can.

- Viewers could call one of three phone numbers to hear facts about either Tornadus, Thundurus, or Landorus. One random caller won a Nintendo 3DS XL with a prepaid gift card, which allows the player gain access on Pokédex 3D Pro.
- Despite having made its debut over 700 episodes ago, this is the first time when Giovanni's Persian is seen using any moves.
- The spiraling staircase in the Abyssal Ruins resemble the same stairs seen in the ruins shown in the previews for the two unaired episodes. Also, the way the Reveal Glass rises from the top of the stairs resembles the way the Meteonite revealed itself in the same preview.
- This episode marks the first time that Ash has a battle directly against the leader of a villainous team.
- Also, as of this episode, Ash has battled all the official Generation I Gym Leaders of Kanto.
- This marks one of the very few times in the Pokémon anime when a character has threatened to kill another character, as Giovanni threatens to squash Ash and Pikachu inside of a shrinking force field cube if Meloetta doesn't give itself up.
- Background music from Arceus and the Jewel of Life, Zoroark: Master of Illusions, White—Victini and Zekrom and Black—Victini and Reshiram was used in this episode.
- This episode was aired in several countries before its airing in the US:

- On January 3, 2013, it was aired in Italy (on K2), sixteen days before the US airdate.
