Arena Trap (Japanese: ありじごく Antlion) is an ability that prevents fleeing. Only 3 Pokémon have this ability. It was introduced in Generation III. Flying-types are immune to this ability's effect, as are Pokémon with Levitate. Run Away will also negate its effect. See also Shadow Tag. Outside of battle, Arena Trap makes wild Pokémon appear more often (see also Illuminate).
