To locate the hidden entrance travel carefully under the very northern end of Cycling Road and eventually you'll find a hidden cave entrance. Unlike {{2v2|Diamond|Pearl}}, you do not need {{m|Strength}} here to access it. However, you will need Flash here still. Notably, this is the only place in the game to find a {{p|Gible}} which becomes a powerful {{t|Dragon}}/{{t|Ground}}-type Pokémon once it evolves into {{p|Garchomp}} at Level 48. You can also find {{TM|26|Earthquake}} here by traveling all the way through the path and going up the stairs to another hidden area on the 1F of Wayward Cave. Here, you will need your bike. When jumping the ramps, while 4th gear (your faster gear) allows you to jump farther, in two areas you will need to shift it to 3rd gear (your slower speed) for the kinds of jumps that require less distance, particularly during the final jumps of both the lower and upper areas of the caves.

Galactic Eterna Building

Galactic Eterna Building 1F

Once inside you will meet with Looker. Several staircases in this building lead to dead ends, where Galactic Grunts and items are located. The correct staircases have a poster near them. Also here on 1F is a room containing appliances which Rotom can use to access its alternate forms, but it requires the Secret Key for entry, which can only be collected through a Mystery Gift from a Nintendo Event. (These forms can be accessed without a special event in HeartGold and SoulSilver).

Once you are upstairs, go to the set of stairs to the right of the staircase you just walked up. The left-hand staircase is the one that will lead to the correct path.

3F

Galactic Eterna Building 3F

If you use the right-hand staircase that leads up to 4F, you'll find a dead end but you can also collect a Blue Shard and a Revive. The left-hand staircase will allow you to progress further.

Go up the right-hand staircase and you will be able to battle Commander Jupiter. She has the following Pokémon:

The real danger is her Skuntank, but since you've defeated Gardenia it shouldn't be too difficult. At this point in the game, the only thing that could do super-effective damage to it is Geodude's Magnitude or Shellos's Mud Bomb. Once she is defeated, Jupiter will retreat since Commander Mars got enough energy from the Valley Windworks to where they no longer need this base. You will then rescue the owner of Rad Rickshaw's Cycle Shop. He will tell you to meet him at his shop, then will walk away. Don't forget to pick up the Up-Grade as it is needed to evolve Porygon into Porygon2 through trading.

A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here.

Before heading to the shop, first visit the Pokémon Center and make sure that your party has at least one free space. Just before arriving at the Bike Shop you'll encounter Cynthia who will give you a Pokémon Egg that will hatch into a Togepi. When you meet Rad Rickshaw at his shop, he will give you a bicycle. Unlike the previous Bicycles, the player can press the B button to switch between the third and fourth gears. Fourth gear is faster than third gear and allows the player to ride up muddy slopes and jump further from bike ramps. Third gear can jump bike ramps, but does not jump as far. Now, you may go on to Route 206 by traveling on Cycling Road. To access this route, go to the bottom end of Eterna City, and go through the entrance.

Route 206

Route 206

Route 206 is made of two parts: Cycling Road and a grassy area underneath. Cycling Road is the only part of the route accessible from Eterna City, and you are not permitted to access it without a Bicycle. Here you will also find Dawn/Lucas's father who will give you the Exp. Share when you talk to him. As long as have seen at 35 separate Pokémon when you first arrive in Eterna City you can get this item at anytime, but if you haven't yet, make sure to get it.

Once you've exited the southern gate you can enter the grassy area by using Cut on the tree to the right. A Hiker has wandered down here, and there are a few items for you to pick up as well as Wayward Cave at the northern end. If you want, you can travel to Route 207 first to pick up some important items and raise your team before going through Wayward Cave.

Wayward Cave Main Area

Something you'll absolutely need is a copy of TM70 (Flash) (which is found in the basement of the Oreburgh Gate), as well as a Pokémon that can learn it. Rock Smash is also needed to get through, as well as Cut to access Route 206.

To enter the main area of Wayward Cave follow the path to the right of Cycling Road straight north. All trainers in this cave are positioned to where you could face them in Double Battles. Also, there is a girl named Mira in the cave who will serve as your tag battle partner. If you wish, you can go find Mira first before facing the Trainers to make it easier since, like Cheryl, she'll heal your team completely after each battle.

To get to Mira after lighting up the cavern, smash the first rock, go north, smash that next rock, and go west on the T-shaped passage to the next smashable rock. After smashing it, continue north and then east at the next passage to yet another smashable rock. After smashing it, go east and then south until you reach the bottom, and go toward the northeast side of the cave as seen on the map. Mira will be there.

Afterwards, as long as you can avoid the entrance, you are able to have Mira as your partner for whatever battles you wish to participate in. Also if you want, if you have taught Thief (found in Eterna City right beside the Eterna Galactic Building) to one of your Pokémon you can use it to on Bronzor, since they have a 5% chance of holding a Metal Coat which not only strengthens Steel-type moves, but it can also evolve Scyther into Scizor or Onix into Steelix. There is a chance you could encounter two Bronzor in a battle, which can make it easier for this procedure as long as you can have Mira as a partner.

Once your business here is finished, there is another cave area to explore!

Wayward Cave Hidden Area

Wayward Cave Hidden Area

To locate the hidden entrance travel carefully under the very northern end of Cycling Road and eventually you'll find a hidden cave entrance. Unlike Diamond and Pearl you do not need Strength here to access it. You won't need Flash here either. Notably, this is the only place in the game to find a Gible which becomes a powerful Dragon/Ground-type Pokémon once it evolves into Garchomp at Level 48. You can also find TM26 (Earthquake) here by traveling all the way through the path and going up the stairs to another hidden area on the 1F of Wayward Cave.
