Victory Road

The final challenge before encountering the Elite Four, this mind-dazzling cave has three floors. In order to get to the end of the tunnel, you must push boulders scattered about into holes and then over a switch to navigate through the cave. Along the way you can catch some strong Pokémon that may be helpful in your forthcoming battle with the Elite Four, and some of the highest-level trainers in the game are just waiting to be battled.

Indigo Plateau

This is it, the one you've been waiting for...the Indigo Plateau! Once you enter the building, a Center and a Poké Mart can be found. Be sure to buy a fair few healing items (Hyper Potions, Revives, and, money permitting, Full Restores).

The Elite Four

The Elite Four are tough and strong, so be sure that you are prepared for this series of battles. Bear in mind that these battles are consecutive: once you begin the challenge, you can't back down! The following is a listing of the members of the Elite Four and their Pokémon.

Lorelei

Ice
Lv54 Dewgong
Lv53 Cloyster
Lv54 Slowbro
Lv56 Jynx
Lv56 Lapras

Lorelei is an Template:Type2 specialist, so Water-type attacks won't have a strong effect on her Pokémon. If you have a Template:Type2, take caution, as her Pokémon know Template:Type2 moves. Recommended types: Grass, Electric.

Bruno

Lv53 Onix
Lv55 Hitmonchan
Lv55 Hitmonlee
Lv56 Onix
Lv58 Machamp

Bruno claims to be a Fighting guru, but two of his Pokémon are of the Template:Type2 and have an obvious weakness to Template:Type2 attacks. A Pokémon of the Template:Type2 or equipped with a Psychic-type move is recommended to take down his Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Machamp.

Agatha

Ghost
Lv56 Gengar
Lv56 Golbat
Lv55 Haunter
Lv58 Arbok
Lv60 Gengar

Agatha utilizes the under-explored Template:Type2. Her Ghost Pokémon have in their arsenal a variety of confunding moves like Confuse Ray and Hypnosis, so take caution of ensuing status ailments and of the dreaded Dream Eater. Because all of her Pokémon are also of the Poison persuasion, a Psychic Pokémon will generally fair well against her. Take care, though, as Psychic types are weak to Ghost-type attacks. Another viable option is the use of a Ghost-type yourself, although it should be taken into consideration that her Ghosts also score super-effective damage against fellow ghosts.

Lance

Dragon
Lv58 Gyarados
Lv56 Dragonair
Lv56 Dragonair
Lv60 Aerodactyl
Lv62 Dragonite

Lance, the final member of the Elite Four, has primarily Template:Type2 Pokémon. Pokémon with Template:Type2 attacks do wonders against his two Dragonair, Dragonite, and Aerodactyl, but his Gyarados can be easily downed by Rock or (preferably) Template:Type2 attacks. Some of Lance's Pokémon use the powerful attack Hyper Beam, but, fortuantely, they are incapacitated for one turn after using it.

The Champion

Lv65 Venusaur / Charizard / Blastoise

You've ascended the Elite Four to face the Champion, who turns out to be none other than your rival. Be sure you are prepared for this final battle between you and your rival, as he uses a wide variety of Pokémon. The best counter to your rival's team is a balanced team of your own.

Aftermath

After you have defeated your rival, you will be named the new Champion of the Elite Four. Congratulations, you've beaten the game! But wait, that's not all - you have more land to explore and more Pokémon to capture. Off to the Sevii Islands!

Where to now?

Head to Cinnabar Island to meet Bill.
