Anthony (Japanese: アントニー Antony) is a Pokémon Trainer from Hoenn who is a character of the day in You Said a Mouthful!.
He ran a private unofficial Gym for bragging rights, but cheated by having several other Pokémon ride inside his Pelipper's mouth, which allowed it to pull off attacks it wouldn't naturally learn and let it avoid weaknesses. He was very arrogant and cruel to those he beat. This arrogance attracted the attention of Team Rocket, who found out about Anthony's scheme and blackmailed him into giving them his Pelipper and the other occupants of its beak. Team Rocket accidentally revealed the scheme to Ash, who helped recover Pelipper and the others. After being untied by Max, Anthony apologizes for his scheme. He promises to work harder by training Pelipper more instead of cheating.

| Anthony used his Pelipper, claiming it as the strongest Pokémon in the world, but was actually lying, using other Pokémon stored in its bill. It first appeared in a battle against Ash and his Treecko as the battle unfolds he tells Pelipper to use Vine Whip which it cannot learn, but used from Bellsprout. It is able to grab Treecko and knock it out. Ash then sends out Taillow, but is easily defeated by Magby's Flamethrower. Ash finally uses Pikachu. It goes in for a Thunder which Pelipper also uses and in the end the match is a draw.
Later Team Rocket appear in their plan to steal Pelipper, Bellsprout uses Vine Whip, but Team Rocket are able to use their mecha to grab onto Bellsprout and knock it out. They then defeat Magby and Magnemite and blackmail Anthony. Ash rematches a disguised Team Rocket, but as precaution, Jessie and James load up more Poké Balls inside Pelipper, and then puts TRMeowth ([[{{{2}}} (move)|{{{2}}}]]) inside Pelipper as a "tactical controller". Ash uses Pikachu and the battle begins. Pelipper starts with Bellsprout's Vine Whip, which Pikachu manages to dodge. Meowth, inside Pelipper, then switches to Magby for a SmokeScreen, which makes a haze over Pikachu. Meowth brings back Bellsprout for a Razor Leaf, then a Flamethrower from Magby. Because he cannot find any stowed Water Pokémon to defeat Pikachu, Meowth chooses to instead use Pelipper itself to fire the Water Gun. As he does so however, Pelipper shoots water everywhere - at not only Pikachu, but Jessie and James as well, exposing Team Rocket and the Poké Balls (and Meowth) inside Pelipper's mouth. And with the help of Pikachu, Team Rocket are sent blasting off. Pelipper's known moves are Wing Attack and Water Gun. | ||
