Angus

Angus (Japanese: アッキー Akkie) is a recurring character of the Pokémon anime who first appeared in The Clubsplosion Begins! and the brother of Getty and Betty. He and his siblings all entered the Clubsplosion tournament together and he was also Ash's first opponent. He is often seen combing his hair even when he's battling. Since his hairstyle is reminiscent of his Pokémon's, Ash's Scraggy first mistook him as the opponent instead of Simisage and used Leer on him.

Though Angus did well at first, he did not count on Ash's Scraggy learning Focus Blast which stopped his Simisage from finishing him off with Giga Impact which ultimately lead to his loss.

He made a brief appearance in A Clubsplosion of Excitement! where he cheered for Betty with Getty before her battle with Ash.

Simisage
Simisage is Angus's only known Pokémon and battled Ash's Scraggy in the first round of the Clubsplosion. It did have the upper-hand against him by stepping on his bagging pants and then using Low Sweep on him repeatedly. However, just before it was to defeat Scraggy with a powerful Giga Impact, he countered it with his newly-learned Focus Blast which was enough to throw it off for the rest of the battle. It was intimated by Scraggy's Leer then knocked out by Headbutt.

Simisage's known moves are Seed Bomb, Low Sweep, Shadow Claw and Giga Impact.
