Trivia

  • Morobareru, along with its pre-evolution, is similar to Voltorb and Electrode in that it resembles a Poké Ball.
    • However, unlike Voltorb and Electrode, it only has a Poké Ball design on it, instead of being in the shape of one.
    • Likewise, it features the whole design, complete with the circle resembling the button in the middle (contrary to Voltorb's evolution line having just the shape and general colors, and according to the Pokédex, being transformed Poké Balls themselves).
    • Morobareru's Shiny form's coloration is reminiscent of that of the Master Ball. It shares this trait with its pre-evolved form.
  • Morobareru and its preevolution Tamagetake share their species name with Paras, Parasect, Shroomish, Breloom. They are all known as Mushroom Pokémon.
    • These are also the only Pokémon that can learn Spore via level-up, and the only Pokémon that can have the ability Effect Spore without having come from the Dream World.
    • In addition, all of the above Pokémon debut in an odd numbered generation: Paras and Parasect in Generation I, Shroomish and Breloom in Generation III, and Tamagetake and Morobareru in Generation V.
  • Despite being based on a mushroom, Morobareru and its pre-evolution can learn and use SolarBeam and Synthesis. They share this degree of similarity with Vileplume, who is based on the rafflesia, which cannot perform photosynthesis, like the mushroom.
  • Morobareru has the highest HP among all Grass-type and Poison-type Pokémon.
  • Morobareru is the last Poison-type Pokémon in National Pokédex order.

Origin

It appears to be based on Amanita muscaria or mushrooms of the Agaricus genus, due to it being Template:Type2. Its cap and the shield-like arms were designed to look like the front of a Poké Ball.

Name origin

Morobareru is from もろ moro "completely" and ばれる bareru "to be found out" or "to come out".
