If you were looking for the character from Mega Evolution Special I whose name is similar to Alan, see Alain.

Alan

Alan (Japanese: アツオ Atsuo) is a character of the day who first appeared in Nosing 'Round the Mountain!.

He met with Ash and his friends while they were passing through Mt. Coronet. His dream was to evolve his Nosepass, so he challenged Ash to a battle in order to level his Nosepass up.

After the battle, Nosepass did evolve, but then Team Rocket used a machine to mind control Alan's Probopass. Later Team Rocket's plan ended up failing and Alan got back his Probopass.

He reappeared in a flashback in Playing The Leveling Field! where it was revealed that he challenged Fantina. He lost the first match with his Nosepass but was able to defeat her with his newly evolved Probopass.
