Acid Armor (Japanese: とける Liquefy) is a non-damaging Poison-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Acid Armor will increase the user's Defense by two stages.

Acid Armor's PP changed from 40 to 20.

Description

Trivia

  • Despite its type and international names, Acid Armor is generally depicted as a Pokémon's ability to dissolve its own body structure, in accordance with its Japanese name, とける Tokeru, which can be translated to liquefy.
  • In Generation I, Acid Armor caused the user's sprite to become invisible until it fainted or switched out, or the battle ended. In later generations, the user's sprite does not become invisible.
