"0 ERROR" is used to refer to a glitch in Generation I of the Pokémon games. It causes the entirety of Route 6 to be filled with glitchy effects. It is most likely name after the 0 ERROR box that can pop up if the player opens the menu in Route 6 while the glitch is active.

How to perform "0 ERROR"

1. To begin the 0 ERROR glitch you must first have a Pokémon with fly or teleport. If you are using teleport, make sure the last Pokémon centre you visited was in Viridian City.

2. The next step is to fly/teleport to Viridian City away from the northern-most trainer in Route 6 in the same way done to perform the Mew Glitch.

3. Then the player must walk east to Route 11 and defeat a trainer, making sure the trainer walks to the player.

4. Now the player must walk back to Viridian City and talk to any person in the city who is near Route 6, not including the man with his Machop.

5. Upon walking into Route 6 the player will get a message, usually something said by a trainer in Route 6, depending on who they talked to in Viridian City.

6. "0 ERROR" is now active. Do not save.

Effects of "0 ERROR"

The effects of "0 ERROR" include walking very slowly, random glitched noises, trainers flickering, and being forced to battle trainers over and over again after defeating them, until the game freezes.
