NPC specifics?
A few things I've noticed/wondered about them. Can anyone answer/verify?
*They seem to go through the avenue once per day, but seem to disappear for a while (probably 24 hours, at least) if you change the clock on the DS. Sort of like Game Sync.
*Shops seem to re-stock when they're upgraded.
*Is there a pattern to what type of NPCs you'll get visiting (trainer class sprites, shops they'll open, shops they'll enjoy, etc.), as in hard-coded NPCs or settings from the other person's save file? Or just random?
*Also, the pages for very rare berries (Salac, Apicot, some of those) you can buy them on Join Avenue. Is that when you get to the Flower Market to a really high level?
Dimenticare (talk) 16:17, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
:From what I've seen so far:
:*3 NPC visiters per day.
:*Shops restock every time the days restarts (doesn't have to be 24 hours), although I haven't bothered checking if they restock after upgrading. I normally talk to the visiting NPCs first thing when I get there so they don't walk out the door.
:*The visiting NPCs are randomly chosen, and there are at least 2 names per trainer class sprite. Everything about them changes every day, such as Invite, Recommend, and if you get a rare customer who visits multiple shops out of excitement. They can visit anywhere from one extra shop ("This isn't what I had in mind...", so they don't continue) to every shop that has been set up so far, with the gained Popularity points increasing each shop visited.
:*I assume that you will eventually be able to buy nearly any berry at the Flower Market, since that appears the only way to get berries from somewhere other than the Rangers that hand out status berries. So far I'm only level 3 and I don't know how high you have to get the level.
:::About the NPC's: when you start the Avenue there are 3 per day, but as the shop increases in level, more NPC's will come per day (at this moment, my Avenue is at level 7 or so and 6 NPC's visit the Avenue per day). <span style="font-family:Arial Black"><span style="color:Red">☼ Blazing</span><span style="color:red">Fist ☼</span></span> 17:08, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
:::::With NPC's I really mean the people who you can invite and redirect to a shop. Maybe it has something to do with the levels of your shops too. When your shops reaches level 4, it'll change in appearance. If I remember correctly, after I upgraded one of my shops to level 4 (while already having almost every other shop at level 4), the number of NPC's increased from 5 to 6. Don't know if it really has something to do with that though. <span style="font-family:Arial Black"><span style="color:Red">☼ Blazing</span><span style="color:red">Fist ☼</span></span> 18:30, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Dimenticare (talk) 20:50, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
::Do they raise EVs by as much as vitamins (10 EVs, but unable to go past 100)? Also, how about the "Power Lunch" at the Deli? It claims to raise a "base" stat "a lot" when a pokemon eats it, but by how much is "a lot"? I am assuming this is also referring to EVs. Tk3141 (talk) 00:39, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
:::There are different deli meals and whatnot; I'm pretty sure the more intense-sounding meals give you more EVs than others. Serebii says some give you insane amounts like 20 or 48 . I don't think the café's lunches are listed by level, but they use the same wording (a lot, a little, etc.) as the Dojo, and can probably be cross-referenced. --Icbat (talk) 16:17, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Is it even confirmed that Nurseries can be formed? I have not encountered anyone who wants to set one up, and we don't have whatever is said to indicate that they want to set one up. As my Avenue stands right now, I have a spot dedicated to the eventual formation of a Nursery (where a raffle shop currently stands). Is it a guide, Serebii, or a game dump which informed us of Nurseries? --TruePikachu (talk) 23:23, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
:What level is your avenue? According to Serebii, you can open up a Nursery when your avenue is level 15. Serebii is not an official source but is mostly right on such matters. I can't confirm it myself yet, my avenue is level 10. <span style="font-family:Arial Black"><span style="color:Red">☼ Blazing</span><span style="color:red">Fist ☼</span></span> 23:32, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Time changing/DS swapping effect
I feel this is something for the article, though I'm not sure of the best way to add it to the page. When you change the DS clock, or use a different DS, Join Avenue 'locks down' for something like 2-3 days, where all of the services are sold out. Presumably to prevent cheating by resetting the clock to the next day. Since Daylight Savings Time just changed in the US, this affected me and took some googling to find that it was expected. --Icbat (talk) 16:20, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
:Good, I'm not going crazy. This happened to me, too. I can see why they'd do it, though: if you can talk to people and buy stuff at stores and change the DS clock just a few times a day, think of how many EVs, levels, Apicot Berries, Heart Scales and all the other things you'd be able to get in a few short hours. People would hang out there instead of training. Dimenticare (talk) 19:27, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
::I can say that it is NOT '2-3 days' - just recently, we had Daylight Savings change over, and I would say that it is 1-2 days. == In-game NPCs and stores ==

Are we positive that the NPCs have universal default dreams or are they randomly generated-and/or-distributed? The article mentions Anneli and Jenna wanting to open the same shops in the author's game, but would those same NPCs want to open up Dojos in my game, for example? And if their dreams are preprogrammed, would they open up the Dojo with the same services they did in the author's game or is that randomized? Because if it's entirely hardcoded, listing the NPCs who correlate to which shop and which services would be a good idea, but if we aren't sure, the lines about Anneli+Jenna and Jaylen+Jess need to be reworded to sound more theoretical and not definitive. :Most of the information in the games, regarding NPCs, is NOT randomly generated. While I have not looked at dumps of the information yet, there are certainly people who have. However, you might be on to something with Join Avenue - a quick look at Serebii reveals that they lack a section about NPCs on the Avenue. I personally have also wondered this, if the NPCs are databased or procedurally generated. I'll reword it for now, but eventually we will need to either have a table of NPCs or a piece of trivia that states that the NPCs are procedurally generated. FWIW, I _can_ start databasing the NPCs I find, but I won't unless it is needed. --TruePikachu (talk) 01:50, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Nursery Effectiveness
Does anyone know what each of the purchasable options at a nursery do, in terms of how many steps they reduce the egg hatching time by? I only just opened one up, able I was able to hatch a brand new Eevee egg with the three Warm Lv. 1's available, but that's all I know. Schiffy (talk) 20:13, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
:I don't have any solid data on this, but the effectiveness of a given level of warming appears to be somewhat random. In my case, what happened once was that I hatched a newer Eevee egg using fewer levels of warming than an older Eevee egg (the older egg should have hatched first). Or at least, that's what I remember having happened (it was a while ago). :P --Ragamander (talk) 07:59, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
::To me, it being random doesn't make any sense, or there would be no need for levels. I can gather it would be tough to determine seeing as two identical eggs could have a different number of total cycles needed to hatch them, but I'm sure someone out there has broken into the game code to see what each one does exactly. Schiffy (talk) 14:47, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
:Based on the extremely limited testing I've done so far, it looks like some very bizarre system was set up. It does appear random, to some extent. I saved in front of the nursery and then just tried several combinations out over and over again, restarting every time. It would seem that what happens is, when the "service" is generated for the day, it is randomly assigned some value of "egg hatching effectiveness," which is then kept until the next shop service regeneration. The same "Warm Lv3" got the same response of "doesn't seem close to hatching" while another consistently brought the same egg to "close to hatching." I'm guessing that having a higher level will make it MORE LIKELY to generate a good result, but it's not assured. Basically, one day my Lv3's were sucky enough to need three to hatch the egg, while my Lv2's got it done in two services. Two of the Lv3's just left it at "doesn't seem close" while there third hatched it, but when switching it up and doing that third Lv3 first, it brought it all the way to "close to," thus meaning saving it until the end was a waste. Lv5 has so far pretty much always got it to hatch, but I seem to remember a Lv4 leaving it at "close to." I would say that, essentially, the services are generated with a set number of steps they will remove, with more of a chance of it being higher, or maybe just in some sort of higher range of values, the higher their level is.
:Basically, save and test out which services bring the egg closer to hatching so you can get those first. I probably won't be able to add more as I'm not a coding person, but this is what happened when I did some simple save scumming.

Erasmus: The Crown and Winner's Belt, at least in BW, are obtained after 5 and 10 wins respectively, not 3 and 8. If it's different in B2W2, I am unaware.

the decorations that can be placed on Pokémon
Props are a type of item introduced in Generation V which are used in the Pokémon Musical. They are stored in the List of key items in Generation V. They are the equivalent of Accessories, but are limited in placement. The highest number of Props that can be worn is eight. Depending on the type of Pokémon participating, it may not reach this maximum, since not all Pokémon have hands, or accessible waists or necks, etc.

At the beginning of the Musical, the Pokémon are dressed up. If the chosen Props' traits fits the song, more points are awarded. What is held is vital for the Musical, as these Props can be waved around for appeal; however, each Prop may only be waved around once.

In Black and White, obtaining all 100 Props is a requirement for gaining a Trainer star. In Black 2 and White 2 collecting all the Props is necessary for the Trendsetter Medal.

Memory Link allows the player of Black 2 or White 2 to receive all the Props gained by the player of Black or White. This can only be done once and only if the Prop Case hasn't previously been received.

Obtaining
After a performance has ended, the player may talk to the audience members gathered outside the reception area to receive Props. The better the performance, the more people will be waiting in the lobby. Depending on the crowd's reception of the Pokémon's performance, they may give the player more Props for future use. Some Props are given out only by certain Musical categories.

Some Props cannot be obtained by performing in the Musical alone and are gifted through conditions.
Floaroma Town (Japanese: ソノオタウン Sonoo Town) is a town in the region of Sinnoh, known for its honey and vividly scented flowers that grow everywhere. It is the first area where Berries from non-player characters are available in Generation IV. Notable landmarks include the Pick a Peck of Colors Flower Shop in the middle of town, the Floaroma Meadow found to the north, and an anime-exclusive Contest Hall. A girl with a Clefairy hands out 88 here.

In Platinum, Floaroma Town has wooden arches at its entrances, among other things.

History and tradition
According to the townspeople, Floaroma Town was once a barren and desolate hill. People started planting flowers around it to cheer up the place, but nothing would grow. Then, someone expressed thanks for a blessing of nature, and the whole hill burst into bloom. It is theorized that Shaymin was the cause of the sudden burst of flowers, given it being the Gratitude Pokémon, and its ability to "instantly transform ruined land into a lush field of flowers," according to its Pokédex entry.

Places of interest
Pick a Peck of Colors Flower Shop
Pick a Peck of Colors Flower Shop
The Pick a Peck of Colors Flower Shop offers players the game's first Berries, equipment needed for raising Berries, and a number of Accessories in exchange for Berries.

Floaroma Meadow
Floaroma Meadow

The Floaroma Meadow is an area accessed through the flowers in the northeast section of Floaroma Town proper, but still part of the town according to the Town Map. The first time the player visits Floaroma Town, the entrance to the meadow is blocked by two Team Galactic grunts. The player must defeat them to gain access to a honey tree, a man who sells honey, and the key to Valley Windworks.

A path in Floaroma Town leading to the meadow begins with a sign which reads:
DPcity
DPcity
DPcity
DPcity

Contest Hall
Found only in the anime, the Floaroma Contest Hall was featured in Getting the Pre-Contest Titters! and Settling a Not-So-Old Score!. In it, Dawn participated in a Contest with her Dawn. Jessie participated in the Contest but was defeated in the first battle round by Dawn. Kenny, a childhood friend and rival of Dawn, also debuted and participated in the Contest with his Kenny. Dawn finally won her first Ribbon in this Contest, by narrowly defeating Kenny in the final battle round.

Demographics
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl
In Diamond and Pearl, the population of Floaroma Town is 29, a rather high number for such a small town. Apparently this is caused by the alluring aroma of the typical flowers and honey of the town. The majority of the townspeople are female.
Pokémon Platinum
In Platinum, the population of Floaroma Town is now 30.
Ash and ashfr first arrive in Floaroma Town in Oh Do You Know the Poffin Plan!. They then visited the town again in Unlocking the Red Chain of Events!.

In the manga
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Diamond, Pearl and Platinum all go to Floaroma Town in Honey For Combee. When Diamond accidentally knocks down a girl's tree, a swarm of Combee attack the trio.

In the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure! manga
Hareta and Mitsumi arrive in Floaroma Town in The Mystery Boy, Jun!!. Hareta meets his rival and friend, Jun, there. This is where Hareta catches Shinx after Jun tells him that he needs more Pokémon.

Trivia
* Floaroma's Japanese town motto is あざやかに はなかおる まち.
* In the 2009 Pokémon annual, Floaroma Town is incorrectly spelled as "Floarama".
* In Oh, Do You Know The Poffin Plan?, a story was told about a woman who made all of the flowers, probably because they would otherwise need to show Shaymin, which was not revealed at that time. The NPCs in-game simply say it was a Pokémon.
* There is a tiny section of Floaroma Town that sits between the northern entrance to the Floaroma Meadow and the river by Fuego Ironworks. There is no grass or items to be found though.
It is east of Undella Town in Undella Bay. Most Plates are located here. There are four floors and no wild Pokémon or Trainers.

Each time the player enters the ruins, he or she is only allowed to take about 500 steps until a torrent of water sends the player back to the water's surface. The ruins are divided into four floors, each smaller than the other. Due to the step limit, it is impossible to get all items of the Ruins in one trip; rather, to reach the second floor, the player must reach the pillar in the middle of the ruins in fewer than 190 steps (thus ignoring all items). The Ruins are filled with 32 Relic items which, have a total value of PDollar1,706,000 when sold to the item maniac in Undella Town. To reach the third floor, the player must use Flash. To reach the fourth floor, the player must use Strength.
Some of the pillars that comprise the corridors of the four floors of the abyssal ruins are colored purple and marked with mysterious letters. These letters can be transliterated into letters of the roman alphabet using the correct cipher. When read the correct way (right to left, bottom to top) the sentences from each pillar can be gathered into a coherent message. The cipher changes slightly between floors: when one moves up a floor the symbols move "down" one in the roman alphabet; for example, if two separate symbols corresponded to the letters G and H on one floor, on the floor above they would correspond to F and G, and on the floor above that they would correspond to E and F, respectively. A small percentage of the symbols used do not appear to have a corresponding letter and are denoted by numerical placeholders in the translated message below, though it is possible that they are logograms or numbers. ==Trivia==
*The Plate and Plate are the only Plates that are not found here, located instead on 13. However, the man who gives these two plates to the player states that he found them in the Abyssal Ruins himself, meaning that all the plates originate from the Abyssal Ruins.
